Mohawk's Rescue
A Special thanks to Derek Comins (Animal Control) of the
St Regis Mohawk Reservation for all his work to protect
and hold this animal for pick-up.
We met in a secure location to do the transfer which was a half point
for the both of us.
The total trip was 14 hours and it all went well.
We named him Mohawk, after the Mohawk
people that saved his life.
Thanks also to my sister Janis who rode with me at the last minute.
What a CHAMP!!!
And To Karen, Sharon & Jayne for calling me about this animal.
He is home now and in a very safe place.
Derek used a catch pole to nudge him
backwards into our crate. It took a few
minutes but worked great and he settles in
for the last half of his journey
Home at last...Terry and Corbin
slowly carry him to his new enclosure.
Welcome home Mohawk!!!!
He was put in with Waya one of the Canadian 2 year olds. They are getting
along well. As you can see she has taken up Pole Dancing to look good for her
new mate!!!

Chiefs at St Regis Mohawk Reservation.
Mohawk has been lucky to have so many people care about his well being.

Well it has taken a little while but Mohawk
is now coming up for belly scratches. You
could always tell he wanted to but, had to
be able to trust first.
