A  Long Journey Home
During the first part of May, Wolf Creek Habitat was contacted about
taking a captive litter of Wolf Cubs from Canada.
Kathryn Lord a student at the University of Massachusetts is doing her
dissertation on how to raise and socialize wild wolf cubs and volunteered
to take the litter, bottle feed and socialize them, then bring them to Wolf
Creek to finish her studies here. She will observe them for 2 weeks as
they  start their new life here at our facility.
The wolf cubs are coming from
Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve
where there is a wolf pack that runs on 15 acres.

Two of the pictures show that one did not survive.  When it was pulled
you need to understand that a mother will consume any that do not
survive.
Join us now as we document their journey from the time they were pulled
from the den to bottle feeding,  all the paperwork, and finally their long
journey to their new home here at
Wolf Creek Habitat & Rescue.
Thank you to the staff at Haliburton Forest for choosing
Wolf Creek Habitat for the honor & privilege of raising
Ebony and Citkas babies
