at 18 days with all eyes open
Each of the Care takers will be naming
the wolf cubs
Our littlest boy (on top) struggled to survive
and Shannon and her family worked overtime
to be sure he ate and got lots of love.
Being sure his name fit him well Mark was
once again asked to give him a name.
Akici Cikala
Meaning
"Little Warrior"
Shannon and her family took on the
responsibility of feeding two. One being
Akici and the small girl.
They had no problem coming up with a name
for her because she is the Alpha of the two
they named her
Tikaani
which means
"Little Wolf"
in the Inuit Language
Jim & Deb's search came straight from their
heart and chose the Cherokee name
Dyami
which means
"Soaring Eagle"
because she has such a free & gentle spirit
Tim, Karen and Chris knew their
special boy is a healer and asked
Mark for guidance in naming him;
In Lakota his name will be
Pejuta Wakan
which means
"Sacred Medicine"
Terry, Deb & Shannon giving the first
worming meds,  and by popular
demand from the moms and dads, we
also took the opportunity to
cut their toe nails.
